We have had to re-negotiate our contract and pay more to remove the feature. The main problem with this is that Comcast is charging more to have this service removed even though it is a security breach of DNS services. After investigation it was found out that our secure internet and selection of DNS servers was now being spoofed by the new cable modem and the service called "SecurityEdge". The speed was increased according but we also had problems accessing some of our internet sites. (We had no knowledge or experience with it at the time of negotiation) Upon our transition from our 300Mbps tier to the 1Gbps tier and receiving a new cable modem, we immediately noticed a difference in our internet usage. Unbeknownst to us, we negotiated a deal with a feature called SecurityEdge. We're a standing customer of Comcast Business and recently we had an opportunity to increase our internet speed with little impact to our monthly cost. Have to pay more to have a SecurityEdge removed Cost: $550 per month (24 month contract)įlawed, unsecure services (SecurityEdge is DNS Spoofing and is not secure).Location: Douglasville, Douglas, GA, USA.
